Boasting some of the best views of the Owyhee Mountain Range, Kuna is a wonderfully quaint, semi-rural gem offering easy access to local amenities while still featuring plenty of open land. It is located just 18 miles Southwest of the capital city, Boise. The first weekend of August, the city of Kuna hosts “Kuna Days” featuring vendors at the park, live music to enjoy, a rubber duck race at Indian Creek, a parade, a free carnival, and fireworks. Also, in June, the Snake River Birds of Prey hosts “Raptor Fest” with live birds, live music, local arts and crafts, activities for children, and local food and drink options from vendors. The event also features various presentations from friends and partners. In the summer, locals enjoy floating down Indian Creek or walking/biking along the greenbelt path. For those who enjoy golfing, the Falcon Crest Golf Course of Kuna is one of the top 5 golf courses in the state of Idaho! Additionally, the Snake River runs through Kuna and if you follow the river out of the city for about 20 miles, you will arrive at Swan Falls Dam. This spot offers great fishing for fish such as smallmouth bass, hiking trails, off-roading, and great bird watching from the canyon for birds of prey such as owls, hawks, osprey, eagles, and falcons. It is no wonder Kuna is considered one of the fastest-growing cities in Idaho!
