Garden City

Garden City is an attractive city just outside of Boise. Outdoor recreation is abundant here as Garden City is close to hiking and biking trails, the river for excellent fishing, and a short drive to Bogus Basin for winter recreation in the Boise National Forest. The city is nestled along the Boise River Greenbelt trail which is perfect for walking, running, and cycling. The Boise Whitewater Park in Garden City has its own man-made wave for river surfers and kayakers to enjoy. The wave vaires dpending on the water level making it a different experience each time. For those who aren't comfortable on the water, it is also fun to spectate. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and gorgeous parks in this area. There are many of dog friendly business throughout the city as well. Esther Simplot Park is an ideal spot for water lovers complete with ponds for fishing, paddleboarding, and swimming. There are also nature paths close to the park making for an ideal place ot enjoy the outdoors in peace. Garden City is home to the Boise Hawks baseball stadium, a top affordable, family friendly entertainment in the Treasure Valley. The Western Idaho Fair, the biggest, most attended fair in Idaho, is also held annually in Garden City! The fair includes concerts, 4-H competitions, bake offs, vendors, carnival rides, and plenty more! The city also hosts Boise Music Fest, a massive one-day music festival in the summer. The festival has carnival rides, food vendors, and various artists across multiple stages.
